Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition has expertise in three main centers: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), nutritional disorders, and hepatology. These centers provide patients and families with access to top care, monitored through national quality standards available only through an academic institution.
Patient advocacy, research innovation and education are tied to all of these centers.
For example, the IBD Center will see a return of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) to Mississippi. Through a variety of CCFA forums, clinicians, parents and patients will be empowered to advocate for the needs of those affected.
And as an academic medical center, we will provide opportunities for clinicians to expand knowledge and understanding of gastrointestinal diseases through local and regional live CME events, podcasts and publications.
